When Danny Clarke asked me to share Facebook strategies with followers of mine, of course I would. That’s a no brainer!
I’ve helped my clients earn multi-millions of dollars.
And while people at times doubt organic social media, due to various metrics like page reach, these strategies have absolutely crushed it on Facebook.
I discovered this magic BEFORE I could afford paid ads. I highly recommend continued use of these organic strategies.
In order to make things work, do more than try, but actually do all 5 of these strategies. Or at least 2 or 3. There’s a compound effect to combining your efforts with paid tools, but they are all free to start. ????????????
First of all, when you’re building your Facebook page, you have to make it credible.
We all know that folks just lose their mind online, and make negative comments as much as saying positive things.
There are ways around that, which is where my ‘Orchid Contest’ is important. A complaint letter is an “onion”, and a positive, glowing review is an “orchid”.
So, I went into my community (of buyers, clients, people who like my page) and made an offer. “Rachel’s giving away 3 t-shirts, if you’ll leave a comment on my page.
Write DONE when complete…..” I got about 50 positive reviews and they were all 5-star. I completely skipped over any possible hate. The beauty is that it was all organic.
This second strategy works on a page that’s been nurtured a little bit. I’m guessing you’ve got some kind of lead magnet you can use.
Here is where you can get some new life blood with a mini chatbot post.
I like to use a picture of myself and a short juicy offer in a post. Then include a bullet-list of all the things someone will get out of this offer.
Once again, direct people to comment below with a gif, an emoji or specific reply in order to get the offer. The real power play comes with ‘liking’ or responding to all of your replies which triggers and results in tons of social proof.
BONUS: ???????? There is a tool online line called Use Proof that you can integrate into your sales funnel.
It displays social proof of all the people who’ve opted-in, and does wonders for your momentum.
The second thing you can do with a comment ladder is take your offer-post into either your Facebook page or group, and let the comments come in for a day or more.
ONLY give the link to the freebie to people who’ve commented on your post. Reply to 50 of those people at a time, and tag them when you do.
This way, people who have not yet been tagged, won’t see the link to the freebie that you’ve included in your replies. But the post itself will be bumped back up to the top of everyone’s feed, causing more of a reaction to an active post. ????????????
When the reactions slow down, THEN reply to the next group of 50 people with your link, and boost the post back up in your followers feeds again.
My third strategy, that I highly recommend combines organic and paid measures.
First, you want to warm up any post by getting favorable comments on it. Send a post to one of your lists, or in your Facebook group or mini chat lists.
Explain to people that you’ve put lots of value in it for them. Ask them to head over and share what was most impactful about it.
This is the first step to warming up the post. -OR- Set up a paid campaign as pay-per-engagement to one of your hottest audiences.
You’ve heard this before, but even a tiny budget will get you engagement that you can use to build on.???????????? It is after this point that you can run a paid campaign to a cold audience because you’ve already warmed up the post, which new audience members will see.
Now … get ready for this.
My fourth favorite strategy is to launch a Facebook live or post, PACKED with value. Put no link in the bio or copy, at least to start.
During the video, ask people to comment in order to learn more, using mini chat on this post, so you can deliver the incentive to them. This of course, boosts the visibility of the post while people are commenting to get the free incentive.
Once you’re done with the Live, edit your copy to now include your PAID products as well.
People who see your paid offer, organically or through advertising, will see all the comments that were made (by those who were trying to get something for free!).
Doubling back to edit the copy on your Facebook video posts, doubles the impact of the post! And since you’ve set up an elaborate post, you might as well send it to your email list as well.
And my absolute favorite strategy, is a resource packed list. Include links to your Youtube videos (and make sure your Youtube videos are optimized with links).
Index your resources post with your podcast recordings, and make sure they are packed with value as well.
Make sure your podcast recordings are optimized with an offer and/or leads.
Your Facebook post should be a post with 10 – 20 links in it, or as many as you have from Youtube videos, podcast recordings, links to your other posts, and snag, snag, snag your AUDIENCE.
Reallllly important … top each of the links in your resources post with questions and offers, like “Want to learn about A? Click the link” and “Curious about the benefits of B? Click the link.” It works like gangbusters, and every single one of you should try it! Got it?! ????????????
So, that is more than enough to pump some love into your Facebook marketing activity.
