How to Create a Passive Income Offer in 3 Hours

By Rachel Pedersen

(Even If You’re Sitting at an Airport Gate)

I created a $25,000 offer during a flight delay.

Let me back up:
The offer didn’t make $25K during the flight delay…
It was built during the delay. It made money later… because the system was simple, repeatable, and relevant.

Here’s the part people miss:

Passive income isn’t about perfection.
It’s about creating something that solves a real problem… then getting it out quickly, while it’s still relevant and urgent to your audience.

And if you know what you’re doing (and follow the steps below), you really can create your first passive offer in less than three hours.

Let’s walk through it.

PART 1: How This All Started

I was stuck at the airport.
No laptop charger. Loudspeaker blaring.
The kind of moment where most people give up and scroll.

But here’s the thing… I’d been talking to my audience all week.
They were stuck.

I already had the content. The answers. The frameworks.

So I did what I always teach: I bundled it.

I built a 24-hour-only offer, wrote 3 emails and 4 Instagram Stories, made a Stripe link… and launched.

The battery held. The offer went live.
And when the plane landed, we’d made more than I used to make in months.

Want help packaging your first passive offer?

✨ Jump into my weekly group program, The Social Clique. This walks you through my entire process, even if you’re starting with nothing.

PART 2: The 3-Hour Passive Offer System

Let’s break it down.

You don’t need a full funnel, perfect branding, or 12-week video course.
You just need an urgent problem… a real solution… and a fast, simple way to deliver it.

Here’s what I did (and what you can do too):

STEP 1: Identify the urgent pain point (30 minutes)

This is where most people overthink it.

I didn’t spend hours brainstorming.
I looked at my Instagram DMs, my Stories replies, and the questions my clients kept asking.

My audience was stuck on their specific problems… Things like ads, social media growth, and passive income.

So I picked that. No validation needed. The demand was already in my inbox.

Quick tip:
If you’re stuck, ask yourself:

“What’s a shortcut I’ve given a client in the past week?”
That’s your offer.

STEP 2: Build the offer using The 3-Block System (1 hour)

This is my signature model.

You don’t need 10 modules or a fancy curriculum.

You need 3 “blocks”… that’s it.

  • Block 1: Clarity – What do they need to know or decide before they take action?
  • Block 2: Steps – What are the actual things they need to do?
  • Block 3: Implementation – How do you help them put it into motion fast?

Here’s what passive income offers could include:

  • A quick 15-minute walkthrough of how I decide what to sell
  • 5 plug-and-play low-ticket offer ideas
  • A fill-in-the-blank framework to write the promo content in under 30 minutes

That’s it.

No slides. No videos. Just assets that solved the problem fast.

STEP 3: Create the delivery format (20 minutes)

This is where people lose time. You don’t need a fancy course platform.

Delivery options that work:

  • Google Doc
  • PDF workbook
  • Notion page
  • Private podcast feed
  • Email drip

My rule: Pick whatever you can send tonight.

Mine was a Google Doc full of juicy assets in a delivery email. Done.

STEP 4: Name it fast, write 3 benefits, and set a 24-hour timer (30 minutes)

This part matters more than people think.

Name it with clarity… not cleverness.
You want people to see it and go: “Oh… I need that.”

Here’s an example:
Name: The 24 Hour Passive Offer Builder
Benefit 1: Know what to sell even if you’re overwhelmed or stuck
Benefit 2: Create the full offer in one sitting
Benefit 3: Launch it with 3 copy/paste templates

Then I set a 24-hour countdown using Instagram Stories and email.

Urgency without sleaze. JReal-time motivation.

STEP 5: Sell it… before you doubt yourself (30 minutes)

Most people stall here.

They spend 2 days editing a sales page no one asked for.
Meanwhile, your audience’s attention moves on.

Here’s what I did:

  • Posted a few times with the hook:
Example: “What if I helped you create a passive income offer in 24 hours?”
  • Wrote a 5-line email to my list.
  • Created a funnel (a Stripe link works, too!) and dropped it.

And it sold.

PART 3: Why This System Works (Even If You’re “Not Ready” Yet)

This isn’t a fluke. I’ve done it dozens of times.
My students have done it. My mastermind clients have done it.

Here’s why it works:

  • It’s low risk. You’re not building a full product suite… you’re solving one clear pain point.
  • It’s fast. Momentum beats strategy paralysis. This gets you results in 24–72 hours.
  • It’s scalable. Once you’ve sold it once, you can automate it, bundle it, or turn it evergreen.

You need one good idea… and one moment of courage.

PART 4: What Happens After the Launch?

This is where it gets fun.

Once the offer is live, you can do three things:

  1. Turn it evergreen
Swap the 24-hour urgency for a “while it’s available” CTA. Add it to your Link in Bio, your Story Highlights, and your email P.S. section.
  2. Bundle it
Combine this offer with 2–3 others into a $17–$47 product suite. That’s exactly how I built out the early versions of my Passive Income Power-Up.
  3. Use it as a lead-in
A $9 offer that solves a problem quickly can lead into your higher ticket services or coaching.

Passive income doesn’t have to be your whole business.
But it can be the thing that funds your next season of growth.

You Need a Plan.

I didn’t have hours. I had a gate change and a dead charger.

But I had a method… and a mindset that said: “Done is better than perfect.”

If you’ve been waiting to create your first passive income offer, I hope this shows you what’s possible.

Not someday.
Not when your funnel is done.
Now.

You can do it in the next 3 hours.

And I’ll help you if you want the support.

Join the community of business owners who are DONE waiting.

Inside The Social Clique, we walk you through the Passive Income Sprint together.
You’ll create and launch a monetizable asset in one sitting… then scale it your way.

Final Thoughts

That airport moment was a turning point… not because of the money, but because it reminded me what’s possible when you stop waiting for the perfect circumstances.

Your idea deserves to exist. Your people are already asking for it.
All you need is 3 hours, a plan, and maybe a little pressure.

Now go create it.

Was I dramatic? yes. Am I going to backpedal now? Was I dramatic? yes. Am I going to backpedal now? absolutely not.

(this is in my personal life not business hahahaha only laughing because it's a point of awareness now)
when i say something mildly concerning and they go when i say something mildly concerning and they go darker, i’m like oh good you’re my people.
A few people noticed I wasn’t wearing my wedding r A few people noticed I wasn’t wearing my wedding ring in some recent videos, and whenever that happens, it tends to bring out a whole wave of theories.

Sometimes it’s the ring.

Sometimes it’s because I haven’t posted Poul in a minute.

Sometimes the internet just really loves a potential storyline.

But real life is usually a lot less dramatic than people imagine.

There are a lot of parts of my life I share online, and there are also parts I protect a little more carefully.

My marriage is one of the most precious things in my life, so I don’t always feel the need to showcase it for the internet in order for it to be real.

That said, I do understand why people notice little things!

So here’s the very unexciting truth.

I love my ring. I really do. But I’ve lost enough weight since Poul gave it to me that it falls off, and when I’m working with my hands, with the horses, with the dog, or doing anything where it could slip or catch, I take it off. That’s it.

I have an irrational fear of degloving.

So I take it off except for fancy events.

And since we’re here, I’ll say this too.

Poul is one of the most consistent people I have ever known. Steady, thoughtful, grounded, deeply talented, and the kind of person who does not need an audience to be extraordinary. Some of the best parts of our life happen off camera anyway.

So no, I do not post every moment.
And no, I do not always wear my ring while working.

But I am very loved, very grateful, and very glad I married him fast. ❤️

High paying clients are not rare. They’re just al High paying clients are not rare.

They’re just allergic to chaos.

Most freelancers are operating with what I call the hope pipeline.

Post something.
Pray someone sees it.
Pitch in the DMs.
Get ghosted.

Repeat.

That is not a pipeline.
That’s emotional cardio.

If you want higher paying clients, the question is simpler than people think:

Do you have one place that reliably produces leads every week?

Or are you hoping social media magically delivers them.

There are really only three sources that consistently work:

Facebook groups
LinkedIn opportunities
Magnetic content

But the trick is not where people look.

It’s how you show up.

Example.

Someone posts in a Facebook group:

“Looking for someone who can help with this.”

Most freelancers reply with the same thing.

“I can help.”

Which translates to:
“I have no proof but please choose me.”

Instead:

“I helped a client get this result. Happy to share what we did if it helps.”

Now you look like evidence.

LinkedIn works the same way.

Most people apply like job seekers.

The winners show up like partners.

They ask:

What outcome are they actually hiring for?

Not what title they posted.

And content?

Content is the quiet funnel most people ignore.

One platform.
One clear promise.
Micro case studies.
Useful breakdowns.

People don’t buy portfolios.

They buy confidence.

Clients are not paying for hours.

They’re paying for clarity.

Build a weekly pipeline and something interesting happens.

Your price stops being a debate.

Because the right people already decided you’re the obvious choice.

Before I had kids, I had a lot of very confident p Before I had kids, I had a lot of very confident parenting theories. 😂

You know the kind.

My kids will never eat processed food.
They’ll always sleep on schedule.
They’ll always behave in public.
I’ll always be calm, patient, and prepared.

And then… I actually had kids.

And what I realized pretty quickly is that parenting isn’t about perfectly executing a set of ideals. It’s about learning the actual humans in front of you.

Some days we eat really well.
Some days dinner is whatever gets everyone fed and back to peaceful again.
Some days routines work beautifully.
Some days everyone is tired and we give each other a little grace.

My goal now isn’t perfection.

My goal is balance.

To love my kids well. ❤️
To understand who they are.
To equip them with what they need to grow into strong, kind, capable humans.

That means teaching them.
Listening to them.
Protecting them.
And sometimes letting the standards breathe a little when life calls for it.

Turns out the most important part of parenting wasn’t the rules I imagined beforehand.

It was the relationship.

And that part matters a whole lot more than perfect everyhing.
