Let’s dive into the Recipe for Success.
And even more it is about having AWARENESS. Awareness where you are at with those 5 key areas to success.
When you don’t know where you are, you cannot know where to improve, where you’re world class and most of all what is needed to head in the direction you want. Simple, right?
In the following read some pointers on what those 5 Key Factors to Success are and while you read in your mind see where you are at with each area. At the end I have a gift for you, so keep reading.
KEY FACTOr TO SUCCESS – LEADFLOW
Lead flows are really the lead conversion paths to convert website visitors into leads.
That can be a slide-in blox on the lower left or right, a pop-up overlay, or a dropdown banner that is triggered by scroll, time on page, or exit intent. You can easily insert them in your content.
As Brian Tracy said simply “approach each customer with the idea of helping him or her solve a problem or achieve a goal, not of selling a product or service.”
KEY FACTOR TO SUCCESS – SALES
Sales is so vital and alot about numbers – hitting them or missing them or somewhere in between. You CAN do it with integrity. It is a field full of FUN, with tremendous opportunities for grow and advancement. And yes, I say it, there’s some money to be made as well.
However, like everything else, Sales is a learning curve, so let me present some
interesting stats to help you think over your approach to Sales. And above all – Sales
is about people – relationships – serving.
Let’s see the facts:
- Prospecting through cold calling results in only 2 percent of scheduled appointments.
- Following up with web leads within 5 minutes makes you 9 times more likely to engage them.
- The fastest growing market – Millennials aka Generation Z – by 2020 (hello ….) the biggest generation of consumers.
- 80 percent of buyers first say no, before saying yes. However 92 percent of Sellers give up after only four negative answers.
- Lead nuturing is the way to drive more Sales. A nutured lead makes 50% more sales and costs 33% less.
KEY FACTOR TO SUCCESS – DELIVERY
DELIVERY in my experience is likely the most underrated factor to success. Have you ever bought a book by its covers, a course, or a program and then been disappointed by how it was delivered or even the quality of delivery?
Yeah – me too – I think we all have. We all can learn from it to make this our strong area as well. And by the way, if you deliver excellence, recurring clients are your new normal.
What does your quality level look like?
Can you automate some or all of your service / product delivery?
What customer experience do you want to create, your customers seek?
Key here is again the power of human touch.
KEY FACTOR TO SUCCESS – RETENTION
To clarify – retention in business refers to the ability of a company or product to RETAIN its customers over some specified time. In other words How long would you like to walk by your client’s side? And how long do your clients actually walk by your side? What can you do to let them walk longer by your side? Those are the key questions here.
Retention is about listening to your clients. It’s about values in alignment – your businesses with your clients values.
Spend a lot of time talking to your customers face to face. As Kate Zabriskie points out “The customer’s perception is YOUR reality.”
KEY FACTOR TO SUCCESS – UPSELL
It’s a little word that brings in the big money. It’s easy. All you do is get to know your clients. Ask questions. Find out their needs, their frustrations, and what they want to achieve. You gain a greater understanding why they buy and suggest products that have more benefits for your customer as well as make it more profitable for you.
You could say something along the lines of: “Having worked with you for (x) amount of time now, and knowing you and your business well, I believe (x product or service) may suit your needs better. While it is a slightly larger investment, I believe it will give you better results / makes your life easier / help you achieve your outcome quicker / other benefits.”
SUCCESS WITH AWARENESS
It’s really all about knowing where you are at. We all have weaknesses and strengths. I want you to look at the areas at the top of the recipe (Leadflow, Saless, Delivery).
It’s really simple. If you don’t have leads, you don’t have people to sell to. If you don’t sell, you can’t deliver well and can’t retain. And you can’t upsell. It’s a cycle.
Then I invite you to share your score, what’s most important to you over the next few weeks in order for your business to grow with me. I’m gonna ask some questions to dig deeper and we are kicking off with an AMAZING week.
Remember this is not about judging yourself, but about having awareness about where you are at, where you want to be. This is all about data points. How can you grow, what can you learn, where can you accelerate to be your best self. It’s about finding your starting point.
