The #1 social media platform (in my humble opinion)
For years I’ve been active on a lot of social media platforms…
But over the last year, a few platforms have taken priority in my business.
I’m busy (I bet you are too!) – with 3 young kids and 2 businesses – so I need to focus my attention on platforms that get the MOST bang for my buck (or my time).
Back in September of 2019, I had 4400 subscribers on my YouTube channel, and most of my videos got 100-500 views TOTAL.
However I decided to FOCUS on this platform with its upside of viral potential and the ability for videos to go viral ANY day.
I wasn’t sure if I’d see results….
Until….
I started seeing growth of subscribers and views.
The shelf life of a post on Instagram or Facebook is a few hours – MAYBE a few days.
The shelf life of a YouTube video? For a video that DOESN’T go viral it’s 2 weeks.
For videos that DO go viral?
It could be discovered for YEARS.
Just since September of 2019, I’ve grown by 27,400 subscribers and gained 1.6 MILLION views on YouTube.
The ROI of my time is what helps me determine which platforms to invest into!!!
So spending 20 minutes creating a YouTube video – and knowing that it could get 300-3000 views WITHOUT it going viral – yep. I’m all in.
Oh, and if it goes viral, the upside is INSANNNNNNE. Check it out below:
In my mind, YouTube is one of the MOST platforms for social media (if not #1) – and here’s why…
- It’s searchable.
YouTube is owned by Google – it’s a powerful search engine. They’re rewarding videos by allowing them to be found by using YouTube’s search.
- It’s long-term.
Videos can rank and be promoted even YEARS later. I’ve seen videos going viral a DECADE after they were uploaded. I haven’t even been an entrepreneur for a decade – so that tells me that the greatest upside hasn’t even been realized for most of us yet.
- It’s not too late to get in the game.
In fact, now is the PERFECT time to get started on YouTube…
