How to Use TikTok for Health and Fitness Influencers

General Social Media

Health and fitness influencers have many different mediums they can use to showcase their workout routines, products they love, and products they create. Even with YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat, and Facebook, many are turning to TikTok as their number one social platform.

What is TikTok?

TikTok, previously Musical.ly, is an app for iOS and Android users. The app allows its users to make quick 15-second videos about music, comedy, performances, art, dance, and any other creative ideas that inspire its users.

Are you ready to let your creative side shine?

How can you stand out on TikTok?

It’s inevitable that you’ll be searching through Instagram feeds only to realize everyone appears to be the same.

The same style of images are being posted. The same topics are being discussed. The same ‘perfect’ imagery is highlighting models, influencers, and luxury brands.

It can be overwhelming to find creative ways to stand out amongst the crowd. Enter TikTok!

If you’re looking for a way to stand out and build relationships with your audience or ideal client, TikTok is where you need to be.

Imagine being able to create a video that doesn’t have multiple filters, doesn’t take hours of editing, and can be done instantly.

Imagine how amazing it would be to just be you, raw, unedited…you!

TikTok encourages authenticity and if you want to stand out, being authentic is the easiest way to do so.

The difference between TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram

Now, you may be thinking, what differentiates TikTok from the other social platforms like YouTube and Instagram – both allow video creation.

YouTube is most known for its in-depth video tutorials. Explaining how to do something from start to finish. In fact, average content on YouTube is 11.7 minutes.

Instagram, on the other hand is more professional. Posts are known to be filtered and photoshopped, with many giving the illusion of perfection and luxury.

While TikTok also has filters, they are not commonly used on the app. The content is geared towards authenticity.

Can you make money on TikTok?

Like normal business owners, you may be curious to find out if you can make money through the platform. After all, your time is precious, and you should be using platforms where you will gain the most attention for your brand.

In short, yes, you can make money on TikTok.

While it’s recommended you wait to promote your products and/or services until after you’ve created a relationship with your followers, you can promote yourself at any time in your feed.

Other ways you can create money on the platform include:

·        Creating a post that drives traffic to a promotion, sales page, or blog post with affiliate links

·        Sponsorships with brands

·        Affiliate links

·        Build your email list
